Quartered Branch Ornaments

Quartered Branch Ornaments

This summer, a branch fell from a tree in my parents yard in Washington State.  My mom cut the branch into quarters and made a wreath out of the little coins, and gave me the leftovers.  I’ve been hoarding them (I can’t believe I just admitted to hoarding) since July with the plans to make little ornaments for my neighbor gifts this year.

All I had to do was cut out the vinyl with my sillhouette, drill a tiny hole, and thread some twine through.  Ahh…I love it when things are so easy!  (and when they’re so easy that making 20 is no big deal!)

We love hanging out at my parents “ranch”  up in the Pacific Northwest, so I feel like these little ornaments are a little piece of me– not just something I store-bought.

I have seen ready to go tree coins for sale at Jo-ann…just saying!  You could make these last minute, no sweat!
