Joy to the World

Don’t you think the most wonderful gifts to give are the ones you make yourself?!  The giving is worth so much more when you’ve poured time and love and thought into something.  I’ve joined hands with the Make Gifts Merrier campaign this month to help all of us get inspired by some amazing DIY gifts this season.  And as you make your hand-made gifts this season, we hope that you will share your fun ideas with others (Just use the hashtag #MakeItGiveIt) You might even have a chance to be featured (here) on the Joann’s Holiday Sharing Hub—there are some really fun ideas up already! (or even be entered to win $100 gift card to Joann’s…who doesn’t need that at Christmas time!?)

My theme to help inspire handmade gift-givers around the world was Glamorous Gifts, and I knew that whatever I did…it had to involve gold!  I was inspired (as always) by Anthro’s gift section.  They have a really fun globe with mint and gold, and as soon as I saw it, I thought: joy to the WORLD!  …And this ornament was born.
