Christmas Books

For years, our family has done a little Christmas book tradition to count down the days until Christmas.  I thought I’d flashback on the post that I did on it a couple of years back.  There might be some books on my list that you don’t yet have!

Christmas Countdown (Books 1-10)

Christmas Countdown (11-17)

Christmas Countdown (18-24)

And as a quick short-cut, here is a list of my ultimate favorites…if you don’t have these, you MUST read them!

-Mortimer’s Christmas Manger by Karma Wilson–oh man!  one of my favs

-I Believe in Santa Claus by Diane G Adamson (links the idea of Santa Claus and Christ’s birth)

-The Longest Christmas List Ever by Gregg and Evan Spiridellis

-Humphrey’s First Christmas by Carol Heyer

-The Ginger Bread Pirates by Kristin Kladstrup

And of Course, the classics that you all know, like the Polar Express, and the Grinch, etc…These are just a few not as well-known stories that I look forward to reading to my kids every year.

Books are such a part of our Christmas season, my kids can’t wait to read the book each night!  I hope you guys find some of these to be some of your favorites, too!  Please go check out my old post for more details on our tradition!!
