iCandy and Avery labels

“The Holidays” are almost here!
It all starts with the candy corn in October, and then it’s a whirlwind of HalloweenThanksgivingChristmasNewYears before you can even blink an eye.
I know that I’m already starting to make lists and check them twice.  I’ve even assembled a small tub in the garage to house some of the gifts I’ve started accumulating.
With the holidays just around the corner, we wanted to tell you about a fun new product that Avery Labels has available: Printable Tags (with strings)
The possibilities for these fun tags are endless.
The first thing that we thought of was to have a personalized ‘special-delivery’ Santa Claus tag.
Jen designed a fun vintage-looking tag for those gifts this year.  She created it in Illustrator, using the size specified on the box of labels.  Then she quickly and easily uploaded the image into the Avery template on their website.  All she had to do was drag the image handles a tiny bit to reposition and resize.
Once the image is centered and looks good, you either save to your web account for printing later, or print right away.  It’s simple and easy.

We made a generic version (.png) of the tag that you can download here.

Not only do they have the option of designing and creating your own tags that are easily printed, but they also have the classic round, oval and square shaped labels that can be used for a million things.  We used the oval-shaped white printable labels, and created a fun little design to seal the back of our holiday greeting cards.  The file is also available here.

Now, if you don’t have the computer skills to be able to design your own labels from scratch, or you just don’t have the time, they also have a zillion and one ready-made templates {here}.  These labels are so easy, even I could figure them out!

We used one of the pre-made templates, where we were able to easily add a personal touch and print tags for our neighbor gifts.  Holiday bread in a jar is darling with a little bakers twine and a personalized tag that I was able to choose and print in under 3 minutes.

We all know Avery labels for their address labels, etc. We also know they are easy to use, creative, professional, simple, and immediately accessible.  While we’ve used Avery for years for their address labels, there are so many great gift-giving uses for these classic labels, and now that they have the ready-made templates that can serve in anything from our home and office organizing to our holiday treats.

Check out some of their ideas {here} for inspiration on Pinterest.

The possibilities are endless, as I was printing out our labels today, I was starting to get giddy with what else I could make labels for while I was at it!  I especially love the printable tags!
