Halloween is fast approaching, and I’ve got my little paws busy working on the costumes my kids have chosen. Ivy got a pair of Ruby Slippers from one of her friends for her birthday back in April.
She was obsessed.
So, when I asked her last month what she’d like to be for Halloween…she didn’t hesitate!
and her choice has never wavered. I love that she chose to be Dorothy, especially that she chose it with absolutely no help from me!
I started out with this pattern that I inherited from my MIL’s stash of unwanted patterns.
I used the pattern for the torso and the bib, but rather than using the skirt pattern, I opted to replace it with a circle skirt
for optimal twirl, of course.
and then I added a little trim on to the bottom to jazz it up a little bit.
“I’ve got a witch mad at me and you might get into trouble!”
One down, two to go!
