Last weekend, my friend’s little baby turned 1. She had the most adorable ideas for little Summer’s ice cream party that I had to share them with you!
She went all out with the ice cream theme, and it was so beautifully done!
It was a bright, sunny day, so the sun light was crazy, but I tried my best to get some fun pics.
Her old-fashioned ice cream stand that held most of the goodies was to die for. The awning was hand-painted onto black-out fabric, and the stand can be disassembled and reassembled for easier storage. Amazing.
She had miles and miles of bunting strung from the trees all across the back yard that completely set the scene when you entered the back yard where the party was held.
The treats were to-die-for.
of course, ice cream sundaes in your choice of waffle, cake cones or cups.
nutter-butters dipped in chocolate and then frosted with pink frosting with a skittle cherry on top
Rice Krispie treat ice cream cones, frosted with, also, a skittle cherry on top.
Darling old-fashioned pink ice cream dishes full of toppings for the sundaes…
Waffle bowls filled with the best fruit salad ever that included mint leaves and coconut in the recipe (yum!)
dipped marshmallows on lollipop sticks to munch on
and my personal fav…cherry vanilla almond cake for the pretty 1-year old and mini cupcakes for all the rest of us. I had…a few.
I don’t know that my pictures are doing it justice, but it was a feast for the eyes!
Since there were mostly bigger kids at this party, she also had a ice cream craft station, which kept my children occupied the entire party. Building ice cream cone magnets, applying tattoos, and coloring ice cream cone coloring pages.
I loved just sitting in the yard, basking in the sunshine and enjoying the scenery while my kids played.
and… as the party favor: adorable waffle cones stuffed with pink and blue cotton candy, minus the cherry…the tag on the front said: “Having you here is the cherry on top.”
I hope this gave you some fun ideas for your next ice cream-themed party!
