I have wanted to make myself some gray knit skirts for a long time.  The fabric has just sat there, waiting for me.  I finally cut them out and sewed them up this week.  Both came together so quickly!  I am so excited to add them into my wardrobe rotation, as there are endless possibilities for styling them.  They both can be dressed down with tees and flip flops, and both can be dressed up as well.  AND they will both transition into fall very nicely.

I first busted out my Everyday Skirt pattern.  I decided to switch it up just a bit, and make it a bit hi low, similar to this skirt.  It was really easy.  I just cut the skirt a few inches longer than the pattern and curved the front and back like this:

Next up was another maxi skirt.

I have been craving a gray maxi ever since I saw this skirt. My fabric doesn’t look as luscious but I swear, good gray knit is hard to find! I still love mine and wore it yesterday all day.  Super comfy and versatile.  I need some more solid maxi skirts- that way I can wear more patterned tops with them.  I used my trusty maxi pattern- found here.  You make both skirts following the Everyday Skirt tutorial.

For today’s photos, I paired the skirts with this fun tie back blouse and cute statement necklace. Later, I changed into one of my favorite tees (Target) and flip flops.  Both were great with the skirt.
