Lined Car Garbage Bag

This has been on the list of things to do for over a year:
it’s silly, really…but I despise having a messy, cluttered car…Ok, I despise a messy cluttered anything.
When we got this car, I enjoyed something very simple about it, it came with this:
(to hang a garbage bag on!)  and it’s been great to store those little mini-grocery bags…but I had some cute vinyl, and wanted a pretty garbage bag…So, a year later, here it is!
want a tut?

I used vinyl for the lining, and corduroy for the outside…you can use whatever…shower curtain liner, etc.

 To create a square bottom:
-fold your bag so that the side seam on one side matches up to the bottom seam to create a triangle.  You can choose how big you’d like the base of your bag to be, (I measured 1 1/2 inches from the point of that triangle)
-draw a line.
-stitch straight seam right across that line.
Repeat for both sides of your bag.
(once sewn, you can trim off those extra triangle pieces!
hope that was easy!  I’ve always had a hard time figuring out spatially how to do a lined bag…but it actually wasn’t so bad!
